Hi all Offspring fans. I want to warn you that I usually speak french, so you might find some mistakes over my site. Excuse-me :) . What about me and The Offspring ? I discovered them in the summer of '97.. my friend Jonathan shown me Smash.. I fell in love with almost every song. I like The Offspring because their music is energic, original and catchy. They are also not pretentious guys.
I started The Offspring Online in Fall 1997, while I was a young excited kid (i'm still excited!) about The Offspring and what was a new thing : Internet. I was just 13 years old (see below for step by step history). I work on it in my free times. It combines my passion for music, web designing and I like to receive emails from you all around the world.
My goal is not to compete with other Offspring pages. I have nothing to prove. I simply want to inform people about The Offspring and/or make them discover this band by bringing them some music files, audio files, news, discography, tour dates, and Wallpapers.... | I had the idea of creating an Offspring page. First, I took a free account with GeoCities. I named my page Christian's Offspring Homepage to make a parody of other Offspring pages (X's Offspring Homepage, Y's Offspring Homepage..). A few months later, I thought GeoCities was becoming too much commercial (ADs everywhere), so I moved my page on XOOM' servers. My page was located there during a long time. The number of e-mails about my page increased a lot. I decided to buy an account with a company. |
